Easton had a turkey tag that he was sooo excited to hunt. On the opening morning, he shot his very FIRST turkey. They only had to hike a little to get to them. They heard it, called it out and took it on his first shot. He only had to track it a little ways. He was so excited to take it down. Way to go Easton!

Since we missed our annual city Easter egg hunt this year due to a baseball tournament we went to in Henderson, Nevada, we created one for the kids in Henderson. We went to a park and the moms hid the eggs for the kids. They had a ball running and srambling to gather their eggs.

Number 1 Baby! Easton's 9u baseball team did it again. We headed down to St. George for March Madness Tournament and boy was it madness. There whole city was busy everywhere you went. There were a total of 32 teams in his bracket and they went undefeated the whole tournament, putting the 10-run rule into effect on every team. We had a lot of fun watching baseball, shopping, eating, relaxing and of course swimming. The only thing we would of changed was our hotel pool was FREEZING! Thanks to some good friends that had a condo we were able to swim at their place. Way to go Xtreme! On our way to Henderson for Easter next week hopefully to do just as good.

This was our taxi ride from the airport to our hotel. We were soooo excited because we had never rode in a limousine before. Little did we know that the driver was CrAzY!
Bird man found us and we fell for it!

We were a little nervous at first, but pretty cool.

One of the many things that we were looking forward to visiting was Pearl Harbor. We had a wonderful tour guide named Rocky who was very knowledgable. We learned so much from him and gained a better understanding of everything that we were able to see. It was a very humbling experience.
When walking through I felt goose bumps all over. Very neat.

We went deep sea fishing one day because the guys wanted to go soo bad so we gave in. It was the worst 8 hours of my life. Dewy and I were sick the whole time and lost count of the number of times we puked overboard. I would not recommend this to anyone!

Have any of you watched Dog the Bounty Hunter? Yes, this is his office in Hawaii. Unfortunately, he was not in his office at the time. The men were wishing they were there so they could of gotten their picture with Beth.

Dewy buried Coray in the sand on the beach. You should of seen how many people walked past and just laughed. It was funny to see their reaction. At least the only thing that is going to get sun burned is his face!

Becca and Mindee gave surfing a try. It was fun, but our arms sure got tired. We could hardly get the board out of the water. It was hard getting used to tasting that salty water. I got up only once and that was the end for me.

Hanauma Bay

Snorkling at Hanauma Bay. We got there early and was able to swim with the sea turtles. That was the best part. We saw sooo many cool fish swimming all around us. The water was a little cold after awhile, but it was well worth. Hopefully my underwater camera pictures work!

On our last day we hiked Diamond Head. It was quite the hike, but well worth it.
This is something we should of probably done early in the morning. By the time we were heading down there were a ton of people! We could hardly get out of there fast enough.

This year the Salt Lake Slam was held in Heber City. It was a long day, but a very successful one. Easton ended up taking 5th in his bracket and recieved a medal. Kelton ended up taking 3rd in his bracket and ended up receiving a trophy. I am very proud of my boys. Wrestling is teaching them to be good sports and what hard work is. We are thankful to all of their coaches who have helped them along the way and for the good friends that we have gotten to know.

Watch out for these little girls. They are the sisters of some pretty tough wrestlers. They may look cute and girly, but they are some tough cookies!

It was so dang cute to watch these little girls perform. Ri got a little stage fright so I had to bribe her with a Build-A-Bear to get her to perform. Once she was out there, she did a really good job. I was so proud of her.

This was our first experience making and designing a pinewood derby car. It was quite the experience! Easton's car was called the black widow #2. It was fun to watch all the different cars race.

Basketball Season

This was the first year Easton decided to give basketball a try. It happens the same time during wrestling season, but this year he wanted to try to do both. Their team started out needing a lot of improvement, but by the end of the year, they were awesome! Easton received the team award for the most improved and best defensive player. Way to go Easton!

My mom, sister, and I had a fun weekend. We had a booth space at the "Mistletoe Mall" in Gunnison. We worked long and hard on all of our items and it paid off. We made over $1,000! Plus we have quite a bit in orders!! Thanks to my mom and sister for all of their hard work.

So Easton is turning 9 years old on the 14th. Since the pheasant hunt started the 7th of November, we decided to give him his present early. He absolutely loved it and couldn't wait to go shoot it.
Easton passed the hunter safety class that he took last week. He did super well on the written and the shooting part of the test. He was nervous, but I knew he could do it. Way to go Easton! Everybody else.....watch out!!!

During pheasant hunt weekend, Easton got his first kill. He snuck up on 7 ducks and took one shoot. You won't believe what happened! He killed 5 ducks with one shot. The other 2 took off and got away. We couldn't believe that for his very first time he actually shot and killed 5 ducks with one shot. That is something to remember because that doesn't happen too often.

Easton practices his goose and duck call every minute he has. He is getting very good at it, but it sure does get annoying after awhile.

Dwayne and I at Lake Powell. We had a blast even though we might be a little sun burned and our muscels may be a little stiff. We would do it all over again!

We were invited to spend a couple of days in Lake Powell with some friends WITHOUT KIDS! It was the best couple of days we have had in a long time. The weather, water, company, food, relaxation, and scenery was great. We could of not asked for a better time thanks to the family who took care of our kids. We appreciate you very much. So we just got back from March Madness Tournament in St. George, Utah and let me tell you, it was total MADNESS! Easton's baseball team "Extreme" went undefeated the whole tournament and ended up taking first place in their age division! Easton was sooo excited. I will post some pictures as soon as I get them. I am so proud of Easton. He worked hard, practiced hard and played hard and it payed off!

Princess Rilyne

My little Rilyne turned 3 on February 8. All she talked about was having a princess party "burpday" party with her friends, so that is what she got. She wore her shirt that said "Warning, girl wearing a crown". I made her a princess birthday cake, which she thought was absolutely wonderful and thought I was the best mom ever!
Nothing fancy, but Rilyne loved it and that is all that mattered!

At her party we played pin the crown on the princess.

Next we decorated princess tiaras. All the little girls did a great job decorating their tiaras. I was very impressed at how they turned out.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas this year. I am especially thankful for the wonderful friends and family that I have been blessed with. We count down the days until Christmas is finally here and then in a blink of an eye, it is over.

For Chrismas Eve this year were at the Olson's for a wonderful Christmas Eve dinner that mom carefully prepared. It was PERFECT! She is the best and I love her dearly. They were especially excited because the entire family was going to be together this year. It was a house full but we would not want it any other way.

Santa definitely made it to the Keck's house. On Christmas morning we had to wake the kids up at 7:00! What is up with that? Every other day they are up between 6-7! Still can't figure them out and they were even to bed at 8:30!!! I think everybody was pleased with the presents that Santa left each one of us. Everybody was excited and happy!

Later that morning we traveled back down to Moroni to stay a few days. Thanks Grandpa and Grandma for everything! We had a fun time, especially when we went sledding and the movie was a great hit. If you haven't seen Bedtime Stories I recommend that you see it. It is a great movie for both kids and adults. We had a good time eating, relaxing, playing games and enjoying everybody's company. I am so grateful to my Heavenly Father for everything that I have been blessed with. I am grateful for good parents, a good husband and children and good health. I know I owe everything I have to my Savior. I hope everyone has a wonderful time bringing in the New Year and has many new resolutions and goals to work towards!

Here Comes SANTA CLAUS!

When Rilyne was asked by Santa if she wanted a new dolly for Christmas, she said I already have a dolly. Santa then said do you want some new clothes. Rilyne replied, I already have clothes. Santa started to laugh and asked her if she wanted some new make-up. Rilyne again replied by saying, I already have make-up. Santa laughed and said what do you want then? Rilyne knew exactly what she wanted and said a new kitchen with a phone and a new stroller.
Kelton told Santa he wanted a new scooter, a camo boat and a big brown barn. These are the same three things that he has said over and over again, never changing his mind.

On the other hand, every time Easton is asked what he wants for Christmas, it is three different things every time. Today it was a cell phone, I-Pod and a Play Station. Santa told him to keep on dreaming!

GLADIATOR World Championship

This year we had the opportunity to travel to Nampa, Idaho to the Gladiator World Championships. Easton was in a tough bracket and lost his first round. He fought hard all the way through the loosers bracket to come back and take 6th. First through third received a trophy and fourth through sixth received a medal. Easton was very hard on himself as he had his goal set to bring home a trophy. We are very proud of him whether he is a winner or a looser. We love you Easton!

GLADIATOR World Championship

Kelton may look small (exactly 36 lbs.), but he is one tough cookie. He loves to wrestle and is becoming more and more aggressive at it. This year we traveled to Idaho to the Gladiator World Championships where Kelton ended up placing in the top three and received a trophy for second place. He couldn't stop smiling the rest of the day. Congratulations Kelton!!

Tis' the Season to try & get a family picture!
We waited too long to get our family picture taken and ended up having to freeze to death with no coats on. It was sooo cold. Poor Kelton was just a shivering and shaking. We wanted it in front of this cool Christmas train in town, but the sun was not cooperating and you can only see part of the train, but enough that hopefully you get the idea.

It was our family tradition every year to get a tree tag and go up Ephraim canyon and cut down our Christmas tree. But this year there was a change in plans. My dad announced that he thought it was time they purchased a fake Christmas tree. Dwayne has been anxiously awaiting to here my dad say that he was retiring from the tree cutting down business. I guess Dwayne's Christmas wish came true this year. So no more "real" Christmas tree for the Keck's. I was sad at first, but as we started to shape and decorate the new tree, I am liking it more and more each day. I miss the smell of pine, but do not miss the watering and mess of the dry needles that the real one used to make. Merry Christmas!

on the morning he was to be baptized. He had

such a special sprit about him and I could tell he

was truly happy. He was lucky to have a lot of family

members and friends support him on this day. We

are truly blessed to have wonderful family and friends.

This is Easton getting ready to be baptized and become the newest member of the church. He was very excited when he woke up. He had a special spirit about him the whole day. Dwayne and Easton had a little secret they kept from me. Dwayne told Easton that he would shave off his beard. When I saw Dwayne without his beard I was shocked. I had only seen him once or maybe twice the ten years I have been married to him. Easton had never seen him without his beard. Easton would just giggle every time he looked at his dad. I prefer Dwayne with his beard, but I still love him just the same, even though he does look a little goofy!

The kids got to hide the food for the bears to find. The bears came out and found the food that they had hidden under rocks and in the water. The bears were pretty smart!

2008 Vacation to Yellowstone

During Labor Day weekend we headed to Yellowstone for the week. We stayed in our condo in Big Sky. We had a great time, but the weather was a bit chilly. It snowed up in Big Sky and was rainy and cold most of the time.

We were able to see a lot of buffalo, elk, deer, bears...but sad to say, no moose. We were kind of disappointed that we were not able to see some moose. But all in all, we had a great time.
